Nestled into a small slope and facing the dense woods just a few yards away, the Swann House sits back beyond the VPT Farmhouse and a little west of the A.J. Muste Conference Center. The Swann House was originally built for $3,000 in 1966 as an experiment in affordable home design by Bob Swann, a former builder for Frank Lloyd Wright, and volunteer labor.
The house features a fully-furnished kitchen with gas stove and refrigerator, living room with a cathedral ceiling, one and a half bathrooms. The first floor bedroom has 2 sets of twin beds, a double and a single bed.
On the 2nd floor there is a bedroom with twin beds, and a loft room with a bunk bed, two singles and roll-out bed. The living room has a double futon, and a roll-out bed. There is space for 10+ guests overnight.
