INTERdependence Day Art & Photos
The Declaration of Interdependence, by 'Ben Frankly'
We hold these truths to be self-evident:
- All Beings are Equal by their participation of Life As It Is.
- Insofar as that We are Equal Beings, it behooves us to treat each Other and Everything as part of the same Fabric of Life.
- We see this Being as Completely Sacred, and reject any form of violence or waste that diminishes our Common Resources, and/or reduces the possibility of the continuation of this Being on this Planet AS IT IS.
- We Require and give Respect to Everyone and Everything.
- We give Thanks for whatever bounty we may have, and in return intend to Serve the Whole to our Fullest Extent knowing that we will Receive What Ever We Need.

TRANSITION TOWNS
We are reaching out to individuals and groups interested in creating Transition Towns, or similar efforts, in the region to explore how we can support this effort. We can help network groups and provide a site for trainings and development of models.
The Transition Movement is a vibrant, grassroots movement that seeks to build community resilience in the face of such challenges as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis. It represents one of the most promising ways of engaging people in strengthening their communities against the effects of these challenges, resulting in a life that is more abundant, fulfilling, equitable and socially connected. We believe that we can make the transition to a more sustainable world. Our first, organizing and networking gathering met at Ahimsa Lodge on Saturday, May 21. About 25 people attended representing groups from as far away as Somerville, Massachusetts. We hosted "Climate Summer bikers on July 19, 2011, and are moving forward in making VPT a networking center...
